Indica Dominant Hybrid
Terpenes: Sweet, Cake, Gassy
Effects: Relaxed, Sleepy, Euphoric, Strong
DNA Cake bred by DNA Genetics. This strain is a masterful cross between Gelato Sorbet and Lava Cake. As an indica-heavy hybrid, it contains around 80% indica and 20% sativa genetics.
On the one hand the parental Gelato Sorbet by DNA Genetics, a cross between Gelato 33 and Sorbet, easily offers excellent results with bluish flowers and high resin and terpenes production. It offers a fruity flavour, inherited from Gelato, and a euphoric to relaxing effect, depending on the situation in which it is consumed.
On the other hand Lava Cake, a well-known Indica in the US. It is a cross between Grape Pie x Thin Mint Cookies, with a flavour similar to mint chocolate and a powerful and relaxing effect inherited from its ancestors. It produces flowers in green, purple and even blue tones.
The result is DNA Cake, a clearly Indica variety both in its cultivation and in the effect produced by its flowers. It is a short plant with medium internodal distance, producing buds loaded with resin and terpenes.
True to its name, DNA Cake boasts an alluring aroma and flavor profile that strongly resembles freshly baked goods. The addition of contrasting notes, like earth and gas, sets this strain apart from the rest.
DNA Cake delivers a creamy, sweet smoke once lit. A delicious flavor of sugary frosting makes its way to the forefront. Notes of spice and gas also hit your taste buds, making each inhale an exciting adventure.
The most common effects reported by consumers include feeling relaxed, happy, uplifted, euphoric, and sleepy. DNA Cake is one of the best choices if you’re looking for a strain you can consume all day long. Although this strain can make you feel sleepy, the effects tend to be more relaxing than sedating. Naturally, you should avoid high doses, as they can send you straight to la la land.
Medical cannabis users often praise the ability of DNA Cake to ease a wide range of conditions. It’s ideal for pain relief, stress, and insomnia. Many people also claim it helps with anxiety and depression. Those who need a nudge to eat can benefit from its appetite-enhancing properties.
